Purpose and Philosophy
We believe early childhood is a season intentionally designed by God as a time of wonder, creativity, and growth. Our program exists to nurture each child’s development and growth through play-based, arts-integrated early learning enrichment rooted in faith, joy, and discovery.
Children learn best through exploration and meaningful experiences. Through purposeful play, open-ended art, music, movement, storytelling, and hands-on investigations, we create an environment where children are free to wonder, create, and discover the world God has made.
Our curriculum is thematic and child-centered, inviting children to explore big ideas through developmentally appropriate experiences. Rather than focusing on early rigid outcomes, we emphasize curiosity, relationships, problem-solving, and creative expression. Teachers guide learning through art based play, allowing for each child to experience faith filled wonder at their own pace.
We believe the arts are a powerful way children explore the world around them. By integrating visual art, dramatic play, music, and sensory experiences into every theme, children learn to express themselves, build confidence, develop a sense of awe for creation.
Our classroom is a safe, nurturing space where children learn kindness, empathy, and respect for others—laying a foundation for faith, character, and lifelong learning.

What a day looks like:
Each morning follows a predictable flow that helps children feel secure while allowing plenty of room for creativity and exploration. Simple academics including letters, numbers, colors, shapes, etc. will be intentionally integrated throughout the day in various ways.
Soft Start
Children arrive and ease into the morning with calm, inviting activities.
Circle Time
Calendar, community building and interactive stories and discussion connected to our current theme.
Center Rotations
Children explore two centers per day, aligned to the current theme, rotating throughout the week so they experience each center regularly. During centers, children will learn about various themes and topics through their own process and discoveries:
-Dramatic Play
-Process Art
-Sensory Exploration
-Building & Manipulatives
Centers remain similar throughout each unit so play and learning can grow deeper and more complex over time. Simple academics including shapes, numbers, colors and letters will also be integrated during this time.
Snack/Outdoor Play/ Social Time
Students are given time each day to socialize freely through open outdoor play (weather permitting) and daily snack.
Early Literacy Skills
Differentiated hands on learning experiences to enrich learning around letters, numbers, shapes, colors, etc.
Music and Movement
Creative movement and music to support coordination, expression, and joy and to reinforce objectives of the current theme.
Devotional
A brief, developmentally appropriate faith based lesson or simple Bible story.

Squiggles & Smocks Early Learning Enrichment's curriculum is play-based and arts-integrated, organized around meaningful themes that reflect early childhood interests. Rather than moving quickly from activity to activity, children revisit materials throughout each unit, allowing learning to deepen over time.
Tuition and Enrollment
We accept children 2 ½ by August 15th and fully potty trained through 5 years old. We offer a mixed aged classroom 2 days a week/3 hours a day with a max of 15 kids and two teachers.
Tuition for Squiggles & Smocks Early Learning Enrichment (2 day a week class): $200 /month, billed September-May. Totaling $1800 for the year.
A $100 registration fee will accompany your application (One time, non-refundable for every family). Additionally, due to the unique design of our early learning enrichment classes, each enrolled child will be charged a one time $100 supply fee. Families may choose what month they wish to have the supply fee deducted (time of registration-September).
Applications can be accessed online and completed applications can be emailed to [email protected] or dropped off in person, Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 8:30-12:30. For an editable application to complete online, please send a request via email.

Meet the Teachers
Erynn Warwick-Lead Teacher
I am incredibly grateful to be the lead teacher and founder of Squiggles and Smocks Early Enrichment! I was born and raised in Littleton, Colorado, only leaving for a short time to attend the University of Wyoming for my undergrad where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Early Childhood Education. I then began a 10-year teaching career in Jeffco Public Schools teaching 3rd, 5th, and 1st grade. Six of those years were spent at Belmar School of Integrated Arts where I found my passion for an arts-based education. During this time I also earned my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I recently took a step back from full-time teaching to spend more time with my kids and family. During this time I began running my own STEAM-Based Creative Learning Enrichment Classes for ages 3-12 called Squiggles & Smocks and have partnerships with many local schools. During this time, I also had the opportunity to take on the role of the assistant teacher at Squiggles & Smocks affiliated preschool, Little Lambs. Finding a balance between family life and work life, through these enrichment classes and teaching at Little Lambs, has been one of the greatest blessings. In my free time, I love spending time with family and friends outdoors or finding time for a quiet afternoon or night reading and simply doing life with our small group from church. I am an avid sports fan and love cheering on all of our local teams but especially love rooting for my fellow UW Alumni- Josh Allen. Go Bills! I am so excited to walk alongside your family in these preschool years as both an educator and fellow parent navigating this crazy beautiful life of raising young kids!
Colleen Upton- Assistant Teacher
I have worked for the past 12 years as a preschool teacher aide and lead teacher at Squiggle’s & Smocks affiliate preschool, Little Lambs. My own children came to Little Lambs, and I have been blessed to be a part of this special school and now Squiggles & Smocks! Preschoolers are fun, curious and excited about life. I consider this my "dream job" and am frequently reminded that this is a special place to be.
I received a dual Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Northern Arizona University in 1999. I am a licensed teacher in Colorado and taught for 5 years before staying home with my kids in 2004. I taught 3rd grade in Tucson, AZ and taught 4th and 5th grade Special Education in the Littleton Public Schools. I also taught one year of Title I Kindergarten in LPS. In college I worked in an integrated preschool that combined children with and without disabilities.
My husband Mark and I both grew up in Arizona, but have lived in Colorado since 2001. We are blessed with 3 amazing kids, one daughter and 2 sons. We enjoy "doing life" with friends, neighbors and co-workers, and attempt to live out our faith in all walks of life.

How long does it take to complete a project from a typical kit?
The time it takes to complete a project varies, but most activities are designed to be completed within 45 minutes to 1 hour. Some projects may be more involved and can be spread out over multiple sessions.
Are the materials environmentally friendly?
We are committed to sustainability. While not all materials are eco-friendly, we strive to minimize environmental impact by using recyclable and biodegradable materials whenever possible.
Can I purchase a single kit without subscribing?
At the moment, we only offer subscription plans. This allows us to provide you with an exciting creative experience every month. If you feel uncertain, you can sign up and receive your first kit, and if you’re not happy you can simply cancel your subscription by sending us an email.
Do you ship internationally?
Currently, we do not offer international shipping. We're working on expanding our reach, so stay tuned for updates!
